Live Music and Events in Cambridge
College traditions, riverside culture and a remarkable musical history
Cambridge combines centuries of university history with an unusually rich cultural life. College courts and halls, the River Cam, King's College Chapel, the Fitzwilliam Museum and Kettle's Yard give the city a setting in which architecture, art and academic tradition are closely intertwined.
Music is woven into that identity, from the choral tradition of the college chapels and summer performances in the city's green spaces to the Cambridge Folk Festival and the Corn Exchange. The latter has welcomed generations of major performers and was the setting for Cambridge-born Syd Barrett's final live appearance in 1972.
